Requests for official transcripts must be submitted through Parchment Exchange. The student will need to create an account with Parchment to request his or her official transcript. Once an account is created, the student will follow the steps to have the official transcript sent via mail or electronically. Transcripts are $15 per copy.
Requests for unofficial transcripts must be submitted through the myWalden University Portal. There is no cost for unofficial transcripts.
Transcript requests are processed daily, however, please allow 5–7 business days for the mailed transcript to be processed, and 1–2 business days for the electronic transcript to be processed. Transcript requests cannot be held for grading or degree conferral.
Note: Official transcripts cannot be processed or released if there are outstanding financial obligations to the university. This does not apply to unofficial transcripts.

To help make your experience at Walden a success, we’ve created a three-part student orientation.
Students who complete one or more of the following sessions is proven to have a higher success rate. You can complete them in any order but take the time to get prepared – you owe it to yourself to have a strong start.
STEP 1: My Support / Successful Start Webinar
SSWs are live, interactive tours of the student portal and classroom. This one-hour webinar is a great way to learn exactly what is expected of you:- Navigate the student portal
- Prepare for classroom and assignment submissions
- Explore support services such as the bookstore and career services
- Ask questions you need to get started
Students can sign up online or through their Enrollment Specialist.STEP 2: My Classroom / Walden Student Readiness Orientation
The WSRO is a self-paced, online course designed to prepare students to be successful online learners. Follow a sample student through a typical week in their online classroom, and learn how to:- Submit assignments
- Navigate the online classroom
- Find and utilize classroom and support resources

STEP 3: My Community / New Student Orientation
The New Student Orientation is a one-hour interactive presentation, designed to welcome students to the Walden community. Connect with advisors, faculty, staff and alumni to:- Be introduced to the online learning environment
- Be inspired to begin your studies with Walden
- Engage in a live chat with other students and staff members

Getting Started
Set Up Your Walden E-mail Account
Set up and check your Walden email. This is the primary communication channel between you and Walden. Regularly check your inbox on myWalden (“Academics” page, upper right corner) for important updates from instructors, and about upcoming events, academic support, and more.

Schedule an appointment to connect with an advisor. Our Student Success Advisors are well versed on program requirements and can assist you with any questions you may have about courses, program requirements, and policies. They’re also great at connecting you with our many university resources and providing best practices for success.
Maintain Your Financial Aid Status
The basic eligibility criteria that allow you to receive federal student aid continue to apply throughout the time you’re receiving aid, not just when you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Make sure that you always comply with these basic eligibility requirements.
Text Books
At Walden’s official online bookstore, you can purchase your textbooks and other course materials and have them shipped right to your front door. You also have the option to sell them back to the bookstore once you’re finished using them.
Technical Support
Sometimes new students experience technical difficulties or have a hard time navigating Walden’s online classroom.
Don’t let fear stand in your way, as we have a dedicated 24/7 tech support team dedicated to making your experience both productive and rewarding.

Set-Up Your Tempo E-mail Account
After accepting an offer of admissions, new students will receive an email from [email protected] with instructions on setting up their Walden student email. New students should contact their Academic Coach if it has been more than two days since accepting their admission, and an email from [email protected] hasn’t been received.
Maintain Your Financial Status
Students should review and understand guidelines for maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards required for financial aid, available in the Walden University Student Handbook.
Connect With Your Academic Coach
A personal Academic Coach is assigned to each student in a competency-based program. Students meet regularly with their Academic Coach throughout the life of their program, providing guidance and resources that help you set and reach goals.
After accepting an offer of admissions, new students will receive an introductory email from their personal Academic Coach. Students should contact their Enrollment Specialist if they have not heard from their assigned coach within 24-48 hours after accepting their Offer of Admissions.
Complete Your Learner Profile
New students should complete their Learning Profile to help their Academic Coaches better support student’s individual learning needs. New students will receive a personalized link from [email protected] to access the Learner Profile.
If students do not receive this email, they can contact their Academic Coach directly who can provide them with a link with direct access to the survey.
